The head of Russia's United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), Vadim Badeha, announced groundbreaking progress in the country's aviation sector. The first prototype of the MC-21 aircraft, powered by the domestically produced PD-14 engine, has been fully assembled, while production of the Tu-214 passenger aircraft is already underway. The import-substituted Superjet has entered the flight phase of certification tests, with its PD-8 engine set for testing soon. The Il-114-300 has also completed over 20% of its certification flights. Badeha emphasized Russia's unique ability to independently develop and produce all materials, components, and technologies for aircraft manufacturing, a feat unmatched by other nations. He highlighted the competitiveness and modernity of domestic aircraft, noting that the development of a full lineup of civilian aircraft is nearing completion. To meet future demands, UAC plans to increase labor productivity by 30% through automation and robotics by 2030. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stressed the importance of flight safety, passenger comfort, and reliability to ensure global competitiveness. He set a target for domestic aircraft to comprise 50% of Russian airlines' fleets by 2030. Serial production of the MC-21 and updated SJ-100 is slated to begin by 2026, with large-scale investments driving growth in the civil aviation sector. Recent achievements include the first flight tests of the Tu-214 with new Russian components, marking a significant step toward global market competitiveness. Additionally, the Tu-214 has been repurposed as a luxury business jet, showcasing its versatility. Meanwhile, advancements in engine technology, such as the SAU-8 automatic control system for the PD-8 engine, underscore Russia's commitment to innovation. Despite delays in some programs, UAC plans to deliver 994 aircraft by 2030 as part of its ambitious investment program. With a focus on self-reliance and modernization, Russia aims to solidify its position as a global leader in aircraft manufacturing. #UAC #MC21 #Tu214 #Superjet #PD14 #pd8engine Be a Member for exclusive privileges - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCviEFTf1xIPKsjmyF_zvFug/join Twitter : https://x.com/AltitudeAddicts Website: https://www.altitudeaddicts.com
